Chance me for UNC Chapel Hill, Elon Univertisty, and Notre Dame

Please be honest in evaluating my chances of getting into these schools. Also, PLEASE give me any suggestions you have to improve my chances, as I am still a junior.

SAT score: Composite: 1890
CR: 640
Math: 670
Writing: 580 (I have only taken the SAT once and I hardly studied, I am definitely planning on improving this score drastically)

I have a 4.0 unweighted, last year I was ranked 6th in my class, and I'm not sure what my gpa is now. Last year it was a 4.83333 but not I believe it is a 5.5 with the classes I am currently enrolled in.

Sports: Track for 3 years, swimming freshman year

Leadership: I have a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer positions in various clubs that I am actively involved in. I also have many volunteer hours outside of school-soup kitchen, animal shelter, etc....

I have also recieved a few awards that my school offers- highest achievement in biology and chemistry for example.

I would be in-state for Elon and UNC but out of state for ND. I know I can't get into ND at this point but do you have any suggestions for where I should improve? Thoughts?

I forgot to add- I am a white female.

I just got in to Elon with a 3.1 GPa and 1770 sat. I honestly think my essay and the clubs and activities were most important…because my academics didn’t Match with their standards. I’d say that you have a great chance of getting in to Elon

For both UNC and Elon you shouldn’t have a problem getting in but Notre Dame is a reach school for you especially with your current test scores.

Bump

UNC and Elon are okay but Notre Dame is really a reach considering your low SAT score :(

Everyone is saying that, I know its so low at the moemnt!:frowning: how high do I need to get it up in order to have a great chance at Notre Dame? I know over 2000 but does anyone know specifics?

@student9988 for test scores, i believe that 50% range is around 1490 for just CR+M, and a 33 for the ACT

I am applying this year to ND, and I think if you can get the test scores up and maintain your ECs and grades, you will have a good shot

Okay so they only look at the CR+Math? I know many schools omit the writing section in their consideration
