Hi thanks for reading, here's what I have to show:

UWGPA: 3.8

SAT: 2100 (590 CR, 800 M, 710 W)
SAT II: Chemistry 790 Math I 750 Physics 730
AP classes taken: AP Chemistry (5), AP Music Theory (4); going to take AP Bio, AP Physics B, AP Economics (Macro and Micro)

Top 10% of class at a very good Public HS (460 students)
Course load is difficult but not impossible (mostly honors and APs)

I reside in New Jersey, but I have a dual citizenship (US, Canada)

As long as you bring your SAT Reading score up, I’d say you’re set for everything except UMich from what I’ve heard about the out of state acceptances. The only people I’ve know that were accepted there were also accepted by Harvard. Good luck this fall

It would be a good idea to take the SAT one more time. Most schools superscore now, so you can only go up. Without taking it again, UNC is a far reach and the others are matches/high matches

I also want to apply to all schools that have early action. How would that work if I were to get my SATs back sometime in November after early action deadlines have already passed?

If I take the October SATs then the scores will be back on October 24, but EA for UNC is October 15th. Am I able to send in scores after sending in the common app?

Yes you can. There is usually a separate deadline for scores. For example, on the Boston University website…“You must take the ACT no later than the October test date, or the SAT no later than October or November. Scores from standardized tests taken after these dates will not be considered in your application.” BU ED is a month back from UNC EA, and BU will still accept Nov SATs even though their deadline is Nov 1

I will contact UNC about that, but based on what @dontrejectme said, I will most likely be able to send in my October SAT scores.

@billcsho, if I were to take the SATs again and get up to about a 2150 do you think it would still be considered a low reach for me? I have also had a clear upward trend on my transcript, but I’m not sure how much that really helps.
