Hello everyone,

I just have a question.
I'm going to be a junior in high school when school starts in about two weeks for me.

I did ok freshman year w/ an unweighted GPA of 3.89. Which I think is pretty good.
But here's the kicker...I fell into major clinical depression my sophomore year which I'm not going into details on how. But anyways, I did and my grades just fell. My avg. GPA for sophomore year, was 3.4!!

I am determined to put aside my worries and try the best I can to get into UChicago.
I was wondering what my chances are as of now and what I HAVE TO DO in order to have a great chance of getting accepted there.

I have not taken my ACT or SAT yet, but I hope to get really good scores. Such as a 34 and 2200+.

I don't have many extracurriculars, but. Here's what I have:
I taught English to Cambodian students at a private english school in Cambodia. (of course)
I am fluent in Korean.

That's about it really; excluding church activities and such.

I know it's something to laugh at; my grades are horrible and so are my EC's.

But is there any way I can improve? What should I do exactly? Should I start getting involved in clubs and things?
My curriculum is regular: My schedule for this year in two weeks is: Honors English III, PreCalculus, Physics, Chemistry, Honors Biology, and a few others that I forget.

But please, would anyone help? I am motivated and determined to try my best.
