Chance me for University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign

Hey everyone I am a senior this school year who lived in South Carolina for 10 years. I was born in Illinois.

Demographic:
Asian-American male

Major: not sure so Division of General Studies

STATS: 1080 (ik my score is low so I am retaking it this coming October and expect a 1300-1400 score)

AP: only APUSH because my school doesn’t offer much AP classes. Because of this, I took 2 online classes at a community college during my Junior year. I took 2 more online classes this summer too.

During my freshman year I started off with college prep classes because I was clueless back then. Most of my classes were honors after my first year.

Extracurriculars:
I started piano at age 6 and I am still taking lessons. I went to recitals and festivals where I had to memorize two pieces each year.
Singing- eighth grade to now
Not sure if this counts but I play bball but not for my school.
I don’t know if this counts but I’ve been looking at videos and blogs on how to start a business.

Unweighted GPA: 3.5
Weighed: 4.3

Summer:
I took two online classes for my cc.
I attended a program meant for music students. My choir was invited to sing for the district this summer.

Senior year:
Most of my classes are at my cc this year.
1st senester-Mat 110
Bus-101
Mkt-110
Honors Chem
2nd semester -
French 3 no honors
Math 120
I plan to take more cc classes but they are not available until Jan.

If there’s anything I’m missing please tell me because I really want to know if I will make it.

It really depends on your major at UIUC. If you are going for General Studies, you definitely look like you are in range GPA wise. Retaking the SAT and getting a higher score will help.

This might give you an idea of the freshman class profiles:

How will you pay? You are OOS.

@Sybylla Financial aid and scholarships. We’ve been saving since 3rd grade.

I forgot but my rank is 23 out of 136

What FA and what scholarships? Why OOS? Your stats would suggest looking at your instate options, as cheap as possible, consider more CC with an eye to transfer later once you have an idea of a major. If your SAT is 1080, why are you expecting 1300-1400? That is a very unlikely improvement in a few weeks. October SAT results might be too late for merit at many unis. Rethink your plans.
