ACT: 34, 34 E M 33 R 36 S (36 superscore C)
SAT: not taken, but am in Jan just to try and see if it makes a diff (2300+ is what im going for)
SAT 2: 760 Math 2 and bio M. Didnt study lol needed them to apply to some schools.
Counselor Rec: beautiful, spent hours talking with her about my extracurricular activities. talked about my leadership in school, medical volunteering, and reserach. 10/10
Bio Teacher: talked about me being a soft-spoken leader with good personal skills. 7.5/10
calc Teacher: did not see</p>
<p>Took most rigorous, Counselor's words, courseload at my public high school. 8 ap's, bio, calc bc, world, human geo, apush, stats, chem, physics. 5's on three ap tests, and 4 on one.</p>
<p>Common app essay : 9/10, talked about how my grandpa essentially raised the family when he was 15 when his dad died and how it affects me today.</p>
<p>UPenn Supp: 9.5/10, genuine interest shows in my essays.</p>
<p>EC's
Tennis 4 years, captain of JV one year, most improved award, all area 1st team (12), state quarterfinalist.</p>
<p>Micro Financing (VP)- lend money to women business owners in third world countries. Really important to me since my family was in poverty just two generations ago in a foreign country.</p>
<p>HOSA (President)- ran the club, also, state runner up in event and qualified for the national competition.</p>
<p>Chemistry Club (President)- prepare kids for the chem olympiad.</p>
<p>Cultural Club (treasurer)- raise and donate money through dance, shows, and fundraisers. i mange the money and we have raised over 2k in the last year.</p>
<p>National honor society- just volunteer at school events.</p>
<p>DECA- member, qualified for the state tournament one year (would not have put this on my app if my counselor did not mention this "achievement" in my rec.)</p>
<p>Volunteering at hospital- 200 hours, volunteered in the neuroscience floor and the patient concierge transporter desk.</p>
<p>Research: biomedical reserach. submitting to intel later this year.</p>
<p>I did all of these activities because of actual interest in them. I did not do anything for the sake of college applications and i hope that shows in admissions.</p>
