Hi! I just got my class rank for the first semester of my junior year and I'm not in the top 7%, so auto admission is not an option for me... leading to an exponentially higher amount of stress and pressure. :(

Class Rank: 70 out of 472 ( about 15%)

Unweighted 4.0 GPA: 3.67
Weighted 4.0 GPA: 4.2

Very First SAT scores:

-Reading: 690
-Math: 540
-Writing: 570
-Essay: 7

Total: 1800 out of 2400
**I intend on taking a few SAT classes before I retake it, and I also have a math tutor, so I am hoping that these scores will increase substantially. My goal is 2100.

I'm also white if that makes a difference, haha. I heard UT had some issue with race and holistic review.

AP classes:

AP English Lang this year.
Taking all AP core classes next year, as well as AP Anatomy and Psychology.

Extracurriculars:

2 year officer of HOSA (Health occupation students of America)
Member of NHS
Member of PALs (Peer Assstance Leadership)
Band all 4 years, (Section Leader for 3)
French club
Dance at Premier Dance Academy for 6 years
Girl Scouts (Earned the Bronze and Silver Awards, working on my Gold. Equivalent to the Eagle award of Boy Scouts.)
Member of summer swim league for 13 years (Volunteer coach for 3 summers)
Active member of church youth group, attending out of state, week long summer mission trips for 6 years in a row.

** I was also wondering, could I apply as a liberal arts major of some kind, and then switch it later on once I've been accepted? I would like to end up with a degree as a Physician's Assistant, but I've heard that science majors, business, and engineering are some of the hardest to get at UT!

UT Austin is my number one favorite dream school but my other choices for schools are LSU, Texas Tech, TCU, and Baylor, so if you can help chance me for those schools that would be awesome as well!

I'm mostly just nervous because I've heard that it's hard to get in if you aren't auto accepted. Thank you for your time!
