Chance me for UT Austin!!

I am going to be a senior this year and I would really like to go to UT Austin but I do not know if
my stats are good enough. I want to major in Computer Science. Please chance me!!

Stats:
GPA: UW 3.85, W 4.18
SAT: 2200 (800 M, 680 CR, 720 W)
ACT: 32
Class Rank: None, my school doesn't rank
SAT Subject Test: Math 2 (800) and Bio M (730)
I took 3 APs junior year and will take 3 APs senior year.
My school doesnt allow freshman and sophomore to take AP unless you take summer courses.
AP Calc AB : 5. I am one year ahead of my other classmates in math because i skipped math during summer.
AP Bio : 4
AP Psychology : 4

Extra-Curriculars:
Volunteer at 2 hospitals
Science Club (Treasurer)
Red Cross Club
UNICEF
Medicine Club
Intern at DailyMondo

Info:
I am an indian OOS female.

Also, does UT Austin prefer act or sat scores?

UT Austin doesn’t prefer any scores. I would say UT might be a reach for you because 75% of the class is in the top7%. Your ECS and SAT score have to be really high in order for it to accept you.

I don’t think the fact that the OP’s school doesn’t do class rank will be held against her.

http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/whyut/profile/scores</a>
Out-of-State Students:
SAT (out of 2400): 1946
ACT Composite: 30

Your ACT and SAT are good compared to the average OOS student. That website also lists the average SAT/ACT for the different schools, too, so compare yours to those. I’d say that UT Austin is a mid match (depending on the school) but that you have a pretty good chance of getting in.

Seeing as OP wants to do Computer Science, I think that UT is a mid-good match. If she wanted to do engineering, that’s a whole other story. While her lack of rank won’t be used against her, there are still the majority of admitted and applicants who range in top 7% in state. But your scores are really competitive any how :)
