Chance me for UVA

@wallstar2‌ I think your chances are very good. You’re in state with mostly A’s, some B’s, only a single C. Your weighted GPA would be higher if Honors had been available 9th grade, they will take that into account. You might need to address that C when you write, or you might just let them assume that particular class/teacher just didn’t click for you. Your call. Your SAT is almost 2100. Overall, I think that’s a profile they will like.

@MaddyDUMW‌ What is your basis for saying that NoVa students have it harder? (Not an explanation of why that could be true, but an indication that it is true in the first place.) The hard numbers seem to suggest that it is easier, if anything, for NoVa applicants, but the real information (average GPA, class rank, and test scores of admitted students from each district) is not readily available. Or at least, I haven’t been able to find it.

Update got a 2160 now on the SAT as i got 740 math in December so my scores are 750 R/ 740 M/ 670 W

bump

Your unique blend of extracurriculars and great scores would probably get u in. But, like me, ur gpa is a bit short. nevertheless, u should get in!!! Best of Luck !!!
