My essays were really good in my opinion (I talked about my passion for cooking and growing up gay and wanting to help gay youth later in my life) and I had them proofread a lot.
My teacher recs should be good since I have a close relationship with both teachers (one also wrote a personalized rec for UNC). I also have a UVA alumni letter of rec.
