Schools I am applying to:

Indiana U - Bloomington
Villanova
Northeastern
Northwestern
University of Oregon
University of Wisconsin - Madison
University of Minnesota - Twin Cities
University of Miami
Southern Methodist University
Marist College
Colgate University
Santa Clara University
University of British Columbia - Vancouver
Penn State - University Park

which schools out of these are safeties, fits, and reaches? Thanks

oh yeah and if you know of any other schools that would fit my interest, please suggest. i generally like larger schools, but as you can see, i have a few smaller schools on my list. i like schools that focus on pre-professional rather than intellectual, and i like traditional campuses rather than an urban campus.

hey im a highschool student in Vancouver who is taking courses at UBC atm.
well its not that hard to get in for BC students. I beleive…the cutoff line for us is
about 85/100 gpa though it depends a lot on the majors. econ i beleive cutoff is 92/100 or sth and it is MAJORLY based on school performances for canadian students. for US i think the minimum requirement is 3.5 gpa which you have. UBC doesnt reject students who have the grades and tehy only look at senior year grades =p so if u can get over 3.5 in ur senior, i think ur in.

northwester// major reach
wisconsin madison/match

thats all i noe sorry

oh they only look at senior grades? well my senior year will be the best year, ill probably have over a 4.0. they dont take account the cumulative?

thats excellent. i looked at the requirements for the school of management and i completed pre calculus so i meet all the requirements. its just about getting in now. i would definitely go to UBC because tuition isn’t very much.

ubc is aiight they have crazy parties =)
and…yea tuition + room and board isnt too much though living expenses is a bit too much
in vancouver. =)
u will be fine with 4.0

Holy Cross-near Boston, has good economics major. Holy Cross is similar to Colgate and Villanova.

bump

more chances please =)

Indiana U - Bloomington (no clue)
Villanova (no clue)
Northeastern (match)
Northwestern (reach unless you get those standardized scores up)
University of Oregon (match) According to my IB counselor, they like IB students o.o
University of Wisconsin - Madison (match)
University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (no clue)
University of Miami (safety/low match)
Southern Methodist University (sorry dunno)
Marist College (no clue)
Colgate University (no clue)
Santa Clara University (no clue)
University of British Columbia - Vancouver (reach)
Penn State - University Park (no clue)

You should remember that UBC is a provincial school, which caters to students in Canada and especially B.C. For international students like you, it’s very difficult to get into business or economics in UBC, especially because most econ students that I know of are very very competitive when they apply to UBC. I think my friend told me that for B.C. residents, it’s around 92/100 cut off in the senior year. Good luck applying to UBC, but I still think there are better choices. It’s like applying to UC Berkeley, and not being a state resident. Very difficult and expensive.

Thanks. Anymore chances? =)
