I know the decisions are tomorrow but I’m just doing this for fun, and really just for some insight.
ACT: 30 composite (35 english, 30 reading, 28 math, 26 science, writing is 9 on the new scale)
GPA: im canadian and we dont calculate high school gpa, but my average would be an A+ in Canadian standards and i think then a 4.0? also APs were not offered at my school.
EC’s that i included in my application:
-150+ hours of community service (volunteering)
-Community Green Leader position for my city’s official municipal environment division
-Summer volunteer for ICNA Relief Youth Leadership Development Program, received recognition from Ontario government
-Debate club member
-Executive position on school’s HOSA team as Trainer, competing at Spring Leadership Conference 2017
-Actor in SEARS festival
-Sales executive at Solutions store
common app essay: on how i learned to love my culture (my background is Pakistani and my family is Muslim) 9/10
supp1 extracurricular: my environment outreach volunteer position, love this essay very social justice and taking action-y
10
supp2 learn about: love this one, prob my most specific supplement, even mentioned professor I learn from etc. and how i fit in to Vassar’s artistic and intellectual community 10
recommendations: hopefully really good, i had personal circumstances throughout high school but always persevered through them so that should reflect in them id hope! also one of the teachers gave me an award as well for the highest average for that course.
I am Canadian and therefore considered international so I hope this isn’t too much of a disadvantage. My stats are a little low I feel but I’m hoping my character shines through, and they see me as a good match :’)
Thanks! any comments are welcome.
