Very competitive applicant , write a strong essay and you should be in.

If I were to get my CR+Math up to 1420, would I basically be a shoo in?

There are no “shoo in” at any school. College admission is so unpredictable. The best I can give you is very likely! There is more to admission to Villanova than test scores. 1390 is the 25th percentile for enrolled SAT and would would indicate a strong chance at admission.
Prepare a solid application and write a good essay and you could even qualify for merit aid , send in an application that is poorly prepared & written and you may not get taken seriously.

Oh, and I would be applying to the school of business!

Any more opinions?

i was just accepted to the business school, and your stats are kind of similar to mine, with higher grades and lower scores. You look strong, but be careful because i was also rejected from some schools i expected to get into. It only gets more competitive every year, but if you keep going the way you are, you SHOULD be in good shape.

Okay. I expect my SAT score to go up, so I think I’ll be good. Anyone else?

Personalize your application…make a compelling argument why it’s “Villanova or bust” for you…in this very competitive environment, it’s important to demonstrate why you’re drawn to Villanova…and not that it’s just one in the constellation of “Notre Dame, BC, Gtown, Fordham, insert similar school…”

lol… it actually is part of the constellation. The thing is, Notre Dame and Gtown seem like real reaches for me right now, so I’d love to end up at villanova

EDIT: I have a severe downward trend I have an unweighted grade of under 90 in English, Math, History, and one of my sciences. Does this change things?

bump with 720 CR, 780 Math, and 740 Writing. Also, my weighted GPA is around 96, with my unweighted around 91. Steady downward trend in GPA
