<p>all right guys, here goes...</p>

<p>SAT: 2250</p>

<p>CR: 760
W: 800 (11 E, 79 MC)
M: 690</p>

<p>rank: top 10 percent</p>

<p>ACT: 33 ---> i'm in-state, so i get Bright-Flight Scholarship</p>

<p>expecting national merit semifinalist (cutoff in my state: 213 last yr)</p>

<p>ECs:
--Scholar bowl jv team captain for 3 years</p>

<p>--Doing senior project at a hospital</p>

<p>--Worked for dad at his office (medical practice), received training, assisted in surgery</p>

<p>--Expecting Eagle scout in June 09</p>

<p>--Held Troop Position (Patrol Leader) in my scout troop for 5 years</p>

<p>--Got accepted into the STARS program (students and teachers as research scientists, basically a research project that happens this summer)</p>

<p>--Went to Harvard Summer School, took General Chem, did very well</p>

<p>Recs: great recs from my AP Physics teacher, and my Harvard chem teachers</p>

<p>APs: no tests taken so far, but i will be doing 5 (Chem, Bio, USH, Art History, Stats)</p>

<p>SAT IIs: Latin--800, going to take Writing, Math II, Chem</p>

<p>so what are my chances??</p>

<p>you have great test scores, ECs, and academic awards. If you write great essays, I'd say WashU is a match/high match for you. Good luck!</p>

<p>I'm applying to Wash U too. You have good test scores and your ECs look impressive. And I bet your recs from Harvard chem professors would be a huge advantage. IMO you have a very good shot, but that's just my opinion as Wash U is a reach for practically everyone. Good luck! </p>

<p>I agree with both previous posters completely. Although you scores are great there is no such thing as a "shoe in" for a college like Wash U. I would however consider you a high match if not a match. You will probably get in and good luck.</p>

<p>Top 10% of class--that's all you are going to give us to go on?</p>

<p>How about telling us your GPA--UW and W--and also telling us what your rank is (top 3%, top 5%, or only top 10%). Give us an idea of how many APs you've already taken and how many you are taking now. Tell us how your schlar quiz jv team did.</p>

<p>Based upon what you wrote here, I haven't the foggiest what your chances are. </p>

<p>All your responses on here are vague. For example you wrote--"Went to Harvard Summer School--did very well." What the heck does "did very well" mean? Did you get an A--and did you take a bowling class or a one-day seminar or a 3-unit course on bioengineering?</p>

<p>It's like someone telling me that they wrote a research paper without telling me what it was about or whether it was published or whether it had anything to do with their projected major, or whether the research was useful.</p>

<p>Sorry to be so cryptic--but you are asking us to give you an opinion without giving us the data upon which to base our opinion.</p>

<p>Your test scores, ECs, and awards look good. Although like stated before me, it is hard to tell when we don't know your GPA, rank, or if you took the most rigorous course of study you could. I would think both are also good though, so work on those essays and you should have a good chance.</p>

<p>Courseload: Most rigorous (3 honors freshman yr, 5 honors and one ap soph, 5 ap jr, and taking 4 senior year)</p>
