Please Chance me for dream school!

Posted in Chances forum, too. Here are my stats; it's my first time posting on CC so tell me if I'm doing it right...

Currently a junior, set to apply to my dream school since freshman year!

Some of my ECs (excluded a few items and my awards for anonymity):
- Class Vice-Prez sophomore year
- City youth orchestra concertmaster
- President of school's volunteer club...more than 300 hours of volunteer service around the community
- Summer research program- selected as one of 20 out of 200 applicants...Siemens Westinghouse semifinalist
- Amateur writer - published in online and printed poetry and fiction magazines (not anything big name but it's an accomplishment for me)

What do you guys think of my chances for WashU?
I'll be part of the pool of 22,000+ applicants, tough competition... so yea, be as harsh as you want!

for pete’s sake. you were ranked 1 out of 500. with SAT 2320. what do you want me to tell you?

Thanks for the reply but I mean, it’s a really competitive institution. They don’t just look at the numbers right?

Whatever any school says, it always starts with the numbers.
Where exactly do you think you’re weak?
Keep up the good work and you’re in.

Thank you both for your kind assessment!
I guess now it’s a matter of whether my ECs are good enough.

Hmm…scary numbers to be sure (scary good)…
What I like about you is that you don’t make your ECs sound like a long obligatory list. This makes me think you like quality over quantity (I could be generalizing, but…)
To answer your question I think WUSTL is a match for you. Good luck =)

Cool thanks zenith
Anyone else?

My daughter’s a sophomore at WUSTL and she had 2300 SAT, 8 APs, and similar ECs, was number 2 in her class at a small private HS, I think you are most definitely WUSTL material! She loves Wash U, BTW. Good luck!
