<p>I am a high school senior, and i would love to be chanced for these schools/given ideas for other schools to apply to, or if any of these schools would be better to apply to early, let me know!</p>

<p>Schools: NC State (I have my high school's nomination for the Park Scholarship, grandfather legacy), RPI, UVA, Virginia Tech, William and Mary, Rice, Princeton (double legacy), Northwestern, UPenn, WashU (Dad attended but transferred out), Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, University of Southern California <strong><em>I will not apply to all of these, I know it's a lot</em></strong></p>

<p>Race/Gender/Income: White, Female, >$200,000 (sister college freshman at UVA)
Intended Major: Civil or Industrial Engineering (history at William and Mary with intention of dual study with Columbia)
GPA (w): 4.03 (+.5 for honors, +1.0 for AP)
Rank: My school doesn't rank
SAT: 2260 (750 CR, 750 M, 760 W)
SAT II: 760 M, 740 USH, 690 Physics
AP: US History (5), European History (5), AB Calc (5), French Lang (4) <strong>Will take BC Calc, Psych, US Gov, Comparative Gov, Environmental Science, English Lang in May</strong>*
I am in state for Virginia
High School: I attend the #1 public high school in America (as ranked by Newsweek) known for it's rigorous academics</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Astronomy Club: 9-12, Boardmember
National Honor Society: 11-12
Active Science Alliance: 9-12
FIRST Robotics Team: 11-12
Women in Science and Engineering: 11-12
Elementary school tutoring: 11-12
Volleyball: 9-12 (two years varsity, won Coaches Award and Most Improved)
Dive: 11-12 (won Coaches Award)
Hospital: Volunteered over the summer (4 hrs/week)
Camp Counselor: Worked at a robotics summer camp (45 hrs/week)
Girl Scouts: (1st-9th grade, have bronze award)
Represented school at Symposium at National Geospacial Intelligence Agency
Attended Seminars in Engineering at NC State
200+ hours of community service, but at assorted places. Will this hurt me?</p>

<p>I have similar stats to you (2240, 4.0 uw, rank 3/400, multiple EC’s/awards) and I’ve been told I have a good shot at northwestern, Vanderbilt, and washu. I’d say it’s almost certain that you’ll get into one or more if you apply to 7 or more of them. But have safeties too. </p>

<p>You have good scores, I’d say most of these schools are safeties for you.
Aim higher! But make sure you apply to those with legacy.
Try small reaches like UPenn, Cornell, UC Berkeley as such.</p>
