2/10. No laughs given.

If you can you should delete all of the *'s and space the text out…it’s easier on the eyes and people will be more willing to read through everything.

Well I think you’re in the ballpark, which is a good thing. Your scores, especially your SAT IIs are strong, your SAT I is slightly above average, and your ACT is buttkicking.

Sorry I’m really tired right now and didn’t thoroughly read through the rest. Good luck though!

^ Actually if he deletes the spaces it will look much better.

Personally, I don’t mind a cocky person if they’re able to put their money where their mouth is. And you seem like you have a lot of reasons to be confident (there’s nothing wrong with that).

I think you have a great chance, mostly because you will obviously have a unique perspective based on your experiences so far. Penn (and many other schools) look for students who have that unique perspective. It’s not really about the extracurriculars you did or how many hours of community service you had. It’s what you gained from them.

Colleges want students that will contribute something interesting in the classroom, because college is a festering pot of money and overly enthusiastic kids. They want you to spend their money - they want you to take advantage of the resources (a guy who works in the admissions office at Penn told me this).

To demonstrate this: A few years ago, a group of guys at Penn really liked meat. They really wanted to just hang out with each other, eat/cook/barbecue meat, and have a good time. They started a club JUST TO EAT MEAT. And a bunch of people joined. And Penn paid for everything.

That’s how serious Penn is about supporting everything their students do.

But anyway. You’re obviously a passionate, high functioning member of society with test scores that are in the ball park for Penn. You just need to show them that you’ll have something great to contribute to the campus too. Whether it be something silly, intellectual, funny, etc.

Hopefully we’ll see each other next year at Penn :)

Wait I heard about a similar story to the meat club at MIT. Basically, clubs get funded, so it was a way to simply get free beef from the school, and all they had to do was get a faculty sponsor for the club.

panic…Everyone’s ECs are so closely linked to business/finance!..= =…I thought I was doing ok before…but now…*sigh… I’m preparing to get rejected…

why? don’t give up hope!!! I’m not really that great, and Wharton accepts a lot of people who don’t have business interests like they take soccer team captains and stuff as well  best of luck.

I think you have a really good chance of getting into the college of your dreams. Very strong applicant.
