What are my chances?

<p>yes i know it has its own little inactive forum but i figured id try here since most of yall either attend UPenn, just got in, or hope to haha</p>

<p>I’m hoping to either go to Penn(the college) or Wharton</p>

<p>SAT: ( wont know until tomorrow except something between 2050-2150)
SATII: im taking Bio and Math 1c in may will get mid 700’s prolly, 680 on u.s history
APs: 4 on U.S History this year taking 6 AP’s, next year taking another 4 or 5
Courseload: the hardest in my school
GPA: not sure how the whole 4.0 scale works but my average is like a 96
Rank: school doesnt rank but im on high honor roll
Prospective Major: Business/Economics</p>

<p>So by the end of High School i will probably have taken 12 AP classes</p>

  • president spanish honor society, board member on METMUNC( model un club), National Honor Society( most likely going to be president), President of Wall Street investors Club, head news writer for the school’s newspaper,member of DECA, Fed Challenge competitive team ( 2 years), student council, s.i.n.g., community service club (board spot most likely), 3 years of varsity spring track, 1 year jv football, 1 year varsity football, scholar athlete, ecipient of John Hopkins University Mathematics and Verbal Talent Search State Award for being among the highest scoring participants in the competition, METMUNC Honorary Mention Award for 2004, Ketah Torah Recipient at temple for education excellence, 4 years of travel soccer, spanish tutor, worked as a waiter over a summer at a summer camp, </p>

the other activities i do, im writing a screenplay, im also a songwriter and am currently working on an album ( best describes as hip hop/singing neo soul combined), i started my own record label up, so ive been promotin myself among other artists workin on making their music distribution of that music and a lot of other things, im also prolly doin the summer program @ upenn this year, i set up a foundation to aid the poverty in colombia ( plan on making benefit shows to raise money and such)</p>

<p>what chance do you think i have at upenn or wharton</p>

<p>Wharton is ridiculous to get into, so you might have some trouble with that. Being president of the wall street club is definitly a plus, and you have lots of other great activities. 12 aps is pretty impressive, and your test scores seem good (i dont really know how the new sat scoring really works). definitly take math 2C is you can, because taking 1c might hold you back. Youre going to need 99 percentile scores to get into wharton, but all of your other credentials are awesome. you should have no problem getting into the college, but wait and see if you can boost scores and gpa before applying to wharton.</p>

<p>I'd say that if you were from Philly and in the top 1% of your class you'd definitely be in Wharton. I'm not saying you won't get in because I have no idea. Economics is a major in the college so I'm not sure if you want to major in Econ or you just meant you want the bachelor of economics. You seem like you do a lot of stuff, so just get some good letters of recommendation and write some good essays. And definitely take the math 2c unless you haven't had trig/pre-calc yet.</p>

<p>Those are better stats than I have and I got into Wharton RD. Just make sure you write really good essays and that your app looks good, spend a lot of time on it. And you dont have to have 1st percentile scores on everything like cpt oats posted. You just have to score well overall. I scored in the 48th Percentile on Math iic but they overlooked it since i scored in the top few percentiles everywhere else.</p>
