Chance me for Wharton ED

Deferred :frowning:

@anxiousenior1 lol i never said wharton isnā€™t competitive, of course it is and very much so. but the dual degree programs are really much more competitive. plus it is true that for these programs legacy status matters less than it does when applying to one of the four Penn undergraduate schools. most dual degree students really stand out from the general Penn population, which is already a super driven, accomplished/impressive group of people, so this says a lot about the competitiveness of these programs.

@Dilan412 kind of surprising, but again none has a 100% chanceā€¦just keep positive since u still have a chance. maybe finding a way to show ur continued commitment to Penn even after ur deferral could help ur case

Wow, thatā€™s unbelievable. I donā€™t think Iā€™ve seen a more qualified candidate for Wharton on CC. Might I ask what other schools you plan to apply to? And good luck with your regular decision process!

@Outlaw77 Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Cornell, Northwestern, Georgetown, Duke, WashU, Vandy, Carnegie Mellon

I donā€™t understand your deferral at all. It makes no sense. Is there anything you can think of to explain it?

Good luck with your RD schools! You should get in somewhere very, very good - but then, I would have said you shouldā€™ve gotten in to Wharton ED.

@Dilan412 Let us know where you get in!

@Darknezzerat
Got into Rutgers, UChicago (deferred EA originally but got in RD), and WashU-Olin. Just waitlisted by Northwestern.

@Dilan412 What about Wharton?

@Darknezzerat I was deferred ED. Still waiting for RD.

So how did everything work out? @Dilan412

Rejected. Deciding between UChicago and Duke.

I feel so sorry for you. You are a great student, and will have a bright future wherever you go.
