<p>I would say you should give an update on your stats.
Do your parents count as alumni of Yale? Are they part of the local alumni chapter? If so, I would say your chances of Yale are a little higher than projected.</p>
<p>If you really want to get in, you should start taking responsibility for your achievement (or lack thereof in some cases). E.g. not being focused and not preparing for the SAT when you took it are completely your fault. Yale won’t want to hear a sob story-just work harder on it and make it better.
Work on SATs and see how it goes. As for ACT, work on your timing with Science section. In most cases I have known, people lose the high composite score just because they ran out of time on the science section.</p>

The admissions rate for legacies is about 30 percent – three times the rate for non-legacies.</p>
<p>I think that implies that I may be a legacy because isnt residency and fellowship part of one of those various institutions. I took the act today and think I got a 35 atleast and SAT I’m thinking I got a 2300 this time
