How is Yale’s grade inflation/deflation?

I wouldn’t really be too concerned about the 2300, as many accepted applicants score lower than that (check the Yale forum). As well, I’m fairly certain the SAT score is just kind of a quick pass/fail “check” on their list when evaluating applicants.

Your ECs look and sound outstanding and I think you have a great chance at Yale.

I certainly hope you’re right!
Thanks :D

Any suggestions as to what I could do to improve my chances?

I think that you have an excellent chance. The main reason I say this is because you have all your bases covered: solid academics, high standardized testing scores (don’t worry about the 2300), a varsity sport in which you accrued many accolades, leadership in a well-known organization, and the community service aspect which is tied to the leadership.

Oh, and because you’re friends with that international trustee. I hear he’s a great guy.

DONT RETAKE SATs!!! Adcoms want you to take the test as few times as possible. 2300+ SAT is golden for anything. ECs are interesting, develop them and see where they take you. You may have a great shot with great essays and well developed ECs.
