(to be honest, i struggled a LOT with depression & other mental illnesses. I also have a physically disabled dad I have to take care of a lot. This is not really an excuse but I’m hoping admission officers will go easy on me with my awful gpa. I’m going to definitely mention this in Additional Comments or somewhere…)

If you tell your background and story to the admission officers, they might just let you off the hook. But that doesn’t mean you have the excuses for the lack of EC’s or others.
Your high SATs and other scores might make up for the low GPA. There was a kid from my daughter’s school accepted with a 3.0 last year and he had lower scores than you - 1450. I would be cautious about mentioning depression however. It’s nothing to be ashamed of and I hope you are getting help but I have heard that colleges and universities might shy away from applicants with depression… I would focus on the toll of taking care of your disabled Dad. Obviously that’s a very tough burden and is more than enough to explain the lower GPA coupled with high test scores. Good luck!
