<p>Your SATs and GPA are obviously sup-par for the Ivies and MIT, but you seem to have a lot of factors that work in your favor (being Latino, lower-income family, etc.) Also, did you write your essay about your condition? If so, I think that may work in your favor as well.</p>

<p>In sum, don’t feel discouraged to apply to some of these intense schools. The Ivies reject individuals with 2400 SATs and accept people with sub-2000 scores all the time.</p>

<p>Only its competitiveness, if its a hard school to do well in, or an extremely easy score to do well. Colleges take that into account.</p>

<p>You should take the ACT. Sometimes people do vastly better on the ACT than on the SAT.</p>
