I regret my lack of motivation during freshmen year, but my GPA has drastically increased every following year.

Thank you very much for your time and feedback!

OOS for UCs will mean that Cal/UCLA are going to be expensive.

Apart from the Scouting, the ECs are typical of what an Asian kid would do. You need to differentiate yourself from the massive horde of Asians with similar stats/ECs.

Coming from a similar kid like you (asian Male engineer) who miraculously got into brown, it seems like you are no different from thousands of other applicants. Some things are also vague from the information you provided. What is your weighted gpa, aka class percentile? Any special honors from math/comp sci? What is the app you’re designing?

What is your GPA by year, because I don’t see how you have a 4.0 uw GPA, implying you got an A in very class, and your GPA as a freshman wasn’t that good? Many colleges, like the UCs only consider sophomore and junior so you’re probably ok there. That being said, I don’t know how competitive the CS programs are for NYU and Brown, but the other colleges are going to be 5-10% for an Asian male applying out of state. You might get into Illinois, maybe wait-listed somewhere else, rejected everywhere else, not trying to bring you down but without a hook and the only honor being tri-m (NHS is not unique where you’re applying), it’s going to be tough. Also, m/v calc and diff eq are not AP classes.

You should add RPI, Stony Brook, Wisconsin, Purdue, Case, WPI, schools like that and remove a few from your list.
