Chance Me? :) (Harvard ED, Johns Hopkins, Rice, Emory, UF, FSU, Brown, and Princeton)

@hungrihippo Thanks  And yes I got an email stating this:
Congratulations! It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Emory University community as a member of the Emory College of Arts and Sciences Class of 2021! Your academic record is impressive, and we believe you are a great fit for Emory’s challenging academic setting and supportive community.

You will receive your official acceptance letter tomorrow, March 23, at 6:00 pm ET, through your applicant portal.

We are notifying of your admission early to invite you to our Essence of Emory visit program being held Thursday April 13 through Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Don’t let others make you think that your success can be attributed to how much melanin you’ve got in your skin. There are MANY extraordinary black students that get rejected from these schools. Your success is YOURS!!! CONGRATULATIONS! :x

@latinvibes Thanks so much for your support it really means a lot

Rice came out early…another acceptance for the class of 2021! B-)

Congratulations! Bring a winter coat!

Update: Even though I could’ve sworn I sent it in, the portal for Cornell shows that I am missing my CSS profile :(… And it was supposed to be turned in on feb 15. I will still submit it but what are my chances of getting good aid now? I feel like I just completely screwed up my chances at even being able to afford Cornell

@runfanatic99 Same thing here, only I goofed with Brown. Here is how they replied to my email regarding the CSS profile:
“The application deadlines set by the Office of Financial Aid are established to ensure a determination of your aid eligibility will be available at the time of the Admission decision, if it is an acceptance. A submission of your aid requirements after the deadline will not affect your determination for financial aid, however, late submission may affect the timing it is available.”
TL;DR: Probably not going to impact your ability to get financial aid at all.

Just for those future applicants wondering about my stats… I committed to Johns Hopkins
Cornell was out of the picture because they didn’t offer too much money and in my eyes JHU is where it’s at for pre-med haha I hope that by reading my stats you know that you don’t need absolutely perfect scores and grades to get into top tier schools. Just work hard and be passionate about what you do
