Any comments or advice on how to improve my application are welcome!

Thanks in Advance Guys!

Good shot at the Canadian schools. For US schools - 1) are you looking for financial aid? 2) UMich, UCI and probably CMU - you have a shot 3) Ivies/MIT/Stanford/UCB - lottery tickets. Your academic scores are about average for the high-end schools, esp with Asian Males/Math Whiz/Engineering type… BUT there is something that caught my eye - Hockey - ,. and you seem to do well that. It’s one item most likely to set you apart from other Asian applicants. Focus your essays onto that particular angle vs the generic stuff typically come from Asian applicants. You should have a major to study, with all the Math stuff, hard to see you are not involved with STEM field , the undecided declaration will not help you in the high-end schools. Have you considered top liberal arts colleges in the US like Williams, Amherst? JMHO.

Can you afford the UCs? Since you’re international the costs will be around 60,000 and you will not be getting financial aid for those schools.

If you require any financial aid, that would be a rejection by the other schools as well.

Hockey might just be unique enough to get you into an Ivy. Cornell is noted for its hockey program. MIT is also good in hockey, although I don’t think it’s NCAA Division 1. Can you contact a coach?

I might add RPI to your list of schools to consider. It’s pretty underrated and you should have little problem getting accepted.

Think about adding Georgia Tech to your list.
