Ok, this won't be such a great manifesto, but here goes:

If it matters at all i'm an Indonesian-American, and a "1.5 generation" immigrant (if you're not sure what that means, just Google the answer)

Competitive high school, and it's pretty large with about 3600 students.

GPA: 3.42 UW. This is what's killing me. I got to Ds and a C my sophomore year, which murdered my GPA. But I have maintained straight, solid As since the second semester of my sophomore year. School doesn't weight, but if I had to estimate my weighted GPA it would probably be around the 3.7-3.8 weighted range.

Rank: School doesn't rank, but with my GPA I don't even think i'm in the top 30%

SAT: 1600/2350 (single sitting)

SAT IIs- World History: 800, Math 2: 710

AP: Psych, Art History, English Lang and Comp, Comp Sci, World History, US History- I got a 5 on all of them and I self studied Psych and World History.

I worked hard on my personal statements for the UC schools, my AP English Lang teacher liked it, as did my AP English Lit teacher, and my Honors Chem teacher (who has an MFA in Literature). My other essays are just as good.
