1st Quarter grades were not good-However Guidance cons vouched for grades
Had a good interview
Really good essay </p>

<p><strong>I know for sure that made it all the way to committee discussion at duke. meaning that I was not auto-rejected i.e. in the bottom 1/3 of applicants nor was i auto-admitted top 5% (usually only athletes or legacies with buildings named after them)</strong> </p>

<p>your chances at harvard, yale, and princeton is close to 0, so expect the worst on those.
i think your chances at BC, emory, vandy, and cornell is around 30-40% each.
i think your duke ED is around 70% as well.
with that said, i don’t wanna jinx you but you’ll probably end up there.</p>

<p>if you can, make your SAT better. it’ll increase your chances by a lot for those middle ground colleges.</p>

<p>You’re stats are solid for Boston College, Tulane, Emory and Michigan. I would say that you still have a decent chance at Vandy, Cornell, and maybe Penn. Others will be very tough to get into. I’m unsure about Duke-- Is that the school you’re most interested in? GOOD LUCK!! </p>

<p>Though your SAT I’s are low, your other scores are top-notch. Make sure you spending time on those ECs. Minority status will help you but also make yourself stand out even more by writing some compelling essays. Good luck! but write good essays and try to get really good reccs
also, if you have any hooks (URM, first gen, legacy) make those known!!
