Thank you :) I'll chance you too just post your info below this.

“hypnotherapy?” So cool. I need some of that waiting for my own ED decision

PS: Sorry I’m not into the chance-me game but I like reading profiles anyway, and your’s is impressive for sure.

“If you apply, you got a chance, if you don’t, then you don’t”, that’s my motto  Good luck to you.

there’s nothing u can do now. But wow your EC’s tho.

And yes. it is dif. for internationals cause you’re versing people from around the world with stellar stats. It’s harder :/. But if u were a domestic applicant, I say I wouldn’t be surprised if you got in. that’s my opinion tho, not cornell’s

Haha thank you @AcceptmeED  I know that the IB ED Acceptance rate is pretty high so fingers crossed. Do you know the % by any chance? thank you

@quartzz haha thank you for your insight anyway and bothering to reply

you don’t seem like an amazing candidate. did you have no opportunities for AP classes? Your SAT is average for Cornell.

@whuffy I’m actually an international applicant from India. I go to an IB World School so no, we do not have any AP classes, only IB, which is considered to be one of the hardest courses in the world and getting anywhere near a 38 and above is fantastic  I know my SAT scores are only average, but I hope to make that up with my ECs :)

Also, just so I clarify, HL stands for Higher Level and SL stands for Standard Level. Most students take 3 HLs and I’ve taken 4.

Your IB grades are amazing, esp with 4 HLs! You should have a good chance of getting in, however your SAT I might be holding you back a bit, since most people who apply to Ivy leagues have very high SATs. I have a friend who applied 2 years ago, he had 2300+ SAT and 43 IB, but got rejected after the interview, he got into UChicago in the end, so it’s tough for every person. hope this helps!

@cedartreee thank you haha  I know my SAT is only on the average end which was worrying me, but fingers crossed anyway :)

Wow i think you will be accepted…

A girl from our school with 41 predicted mark and 2010 SAT got in through ed last year…

good luck…! decisions will be out on the 12th

@kiwiyoyo wow thank you haha  Was she an international student though? Because I live in India and wanted to know if this would impact it any differently.

@12345n well… she’s british but she has an american passport

@kiwiyoyo Oh okay thank you  I’m just banking on the fact that IB acceptance rate is much higher :)

your extracurriculars are pretty good and your scores are probably a low reach but I think you have a chance at cornell

where does it say that ib students have a higher % chance of getting in ED for Cornell? What about RD?

I saw it on a pdf link. wait. http://dasd-sharepoint.dasd.org/Schools/STEMAcademy/Documents/IB_University_Acceptance_Rates.pdf</a> I’m not sure about RD though

Oh yeah, I’ve seen this as well. Idk if that’s for ED though. I think it’s just an overall acceptance rate.

It really depends on how competitive your high school is, since there’s not a GPA?? but I think your extra curricular actvities are excellent

@teenagecrime‌ It’s an international IB school so it’s pretty competitive. Thanks for your insight :)
