Weighted GPA: 4.0 or 4.1, I'm not sure
Class rank: 56 of 354</p>

<p>My class rank looks really low, but that's not because I have bad grades. I've never gotten a C, I just opt to take a slightly easier courseload than the truly rigorous ones. Some of the AP classes at my school are CRAZY, 7 hours of homework a night, and you'll still get a C. And I'd rather get an A in a regular class than a C in an AP.
I'll have taken 2 APs by the time high school is done, and the rest college level or honors at least. Except math, I'm awful at math.</p>

<p>I was in the Phoenix Youth Symphony 9th and 10th grade, then moved over to the East Valley Youth Symphony for 11th and 12th grade. I'm the principal cellist for both my school orchestra and my out of school orchestra.</p>

<p>I participated in the AZMEA All-Region Orchestra last year.</p>

<p>I worked for AMF Bowling Centers from sophomore year to senior year,
and I've worked for Toys R Us since my depart from AMF. I work somewhere between 15-20 hours a week.</p>

<p>I think you have a good chance at Boulder… With that being said, I feel USC will be a slight reach. I also applied there and I heard the interview doesn’t really matter that much. (I didn’t get one so I was worried) Over all though, I bet it can only help your chances unless you fumbled.</p>

<p>I would say your “In” at Ohio State and also think you have a fairly good shot at USC, though it may be something like a high match to low reach. NYU looks to be a match along side University of Michigan.</p>

i think that all these schools are matches or ins, except nyu and umich which are low reaches or high matches maybe.

NYU - 35-50% (depends on major)
UMich - 50-70% (definitely not as hard as a lot of people think, just need the GPA)
others are in.</p>

<p>In all honesty, I think you’ll be accepted everywhere, with the exception being NYU, which is variable depending on your luck. your stats are solid, but not extraordinary, however your ECs aren’t bad, and courseload for an art major doesn’t affect you too much as long as you didn’t completely take the easy way out.</p>

<p>I think the interview can only help you. and your stats are decent. The only thing that may hurt is not taking advantage of the most rigorous course load at your school. Other than that, good luck!

<p>NYU may be an uphill battle because of your rank. USC is a slight reach because it’s USC (interview doesn’t matter much - sorry). You’re in at all the others. Congratulations on being such a good student!</p>
