ACT?
College suggestions?
Other recommendations on increasing my chances? PLEASE

just as good as at rice.

Issaac, I like your chances overall and a retake on the ACT would not hurt to be more inline with your SATs (or just submit SATs).

However, your income bracket concerns me a little considering UMich does not always (or some would say often or never) meets need for out of state students. Some of the private schools might be a little more generous with aid at the end of the day.

So while you are a strong applicant and should by all means apply (you’d love the School of music, although if you’re not a BMUS audition-admit you might not get the kind of studio you would want) you will also want to make sure you have some financial safeties and some generous privates on your list as well. Best wishes!

(PS We know pre-med students at Johns Hopkins, for example, that received exceptionally generous packages…)

Looks like you also need a lot of help getting into 20 other schools. ;)

Hey - UMich made the top 20 - be happy :)

Very happy. Thank you guys ^^

Awesome, awesome stats… you shouldn’t have much to worry about for getting in. It appears you’re well-rounded, while maintaining great academic stats. Only thing I would recommend as others have said is ACT if you plan to submit it - otherwise it looks great!

Good luck!

^Okay it’s not gonna be that easy. For OOS you’re probably a slight reach for next year because of the ACT score. Get a 31+ and you’re probably in.

I’d put you at a 50/50, mainly dependent on essays. Unfortunately the first-gen-student won’t help because u of m can no longer participate in affirmative action, but I think your numbers are strong enough to get you in. Good Luck!

^^the aa ban was just overturned. but even so, you should retake either the sat or act for next year, they are nothing special. oos is hard for umich and your scores are a little low
