Got differed from umich
Waiting decision from gatech
Georgia tech is a high match( since it is one of the top engineering schools)
UMichigan you got deferred so not much that i can say.
any other schools you want to be chanced for? Please mention!
Your ACT score is at the low end of the mid 50 for UMich CoE and UIUC engineering. International students are hard to chance but your scores are a bit low for top engineering schools particularly among Indian. You should probably try Purdue as well if it is not too late.
What do u think are my chances for UCB UCLA UCSD for the same major @pallavijaniani @billcsho I’ve heard it is easier to get in through mechanical engineering is that true :-/
Aren’t you too late for the California schools?
UCs had their deadlines on Nov 30. So yeah aren’t you late for them?
well ,i applied earlier but i forgot to mention them earlier
For UCB, I don’t think that you have good chances. Your ACT score is low. Since you want to major in MechE, I’m assuming that you must have applied to EECS(Am I right?). Your school grades look fine. But at least for EECS at Berkeley, 31 is low and your ECs aren’t something that sets you appart from 1000s of other applicants. I would say that you have a decent chance at UCLA. However, I think that you should get into UCSD. Good luck!
Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1850266-chance-me-for-mit-cornell-cmu-and-ill-chance-back.html#latest
@PureMathIsFun i did not apply to EECS ,MechE is in UC department of Mechanical engineering .Does taking courses on edX help for ECs?
@AspireIvy1 I don’t think that taking Edx courses help much. Though it shows that you have some eagerness to learn things and stuff, it won’t be some differentiator. It should help, but not much.
