With some killer letter of recommendations (I am sure of it)

Yep that’s it. I am an international student from India.

What are my odds at upenn-wharton?

International student who definitely needs financial aid. Parents income per year 36000

Your chances are just like everyone else who applies! Acceptances for international students at these schools hover around 5%. Most applicants are well qualified. 95% don’t get accepted.

Penn is need aware for international students so your ability to pay will be considered when your admission application is reviewed.

ETA…your application will be reviewed along with others from your region…and there are a LOT of well qualified applicants from there.

Apply and see.

And apply to other more affordable colleges as well…perhaps in your home country.

Also, if you need financial aid, your admission chances go down even further.

Agree with the above posts. By all means apply and give it your all. But you should also seek out some less competitive schools in the US as well as options in your home country.
