well as of right now you seem fine with your ACT scores as well as your ECs. GPA is okay too. But as everyone else says about any top schools. Be different.

As for fencing, coming from a fencer it really depends if you are competitive and dedicated enough to become part of the team. Are you a national fencer and are you rated? If so, contact the coach, he’s really nice I think for fencing to be a hook you have to be pretty good at it (preferably a B rating) and some results in national competitions (like me! I just got accepted friday and was heavily recruited by the fencing coach so yay ) If you’re on a school team I think that’ll just be another EC imo.

But you have a year to go, ED results just came out friday haha, so you have plenty of time :)) Good luck!

I am not nationally acclaimed :/, I am a school fencer, and i have a few regional school league competitions medals. What was your ranking btw? And what weapon were you? Foil ftw I am planning on doing USFA competitions this year though, but ill probs end up C+/-

I’m a B2012 and I’m saber:) I only started fencing 3 years ago though, didn’t expect to fence in college bc lacrosse was my passion before that. Do national competitions! Qualify for them first, I’m guessing you were born in1996 so you should be able to do Cadets (17 and under) in NACs (north American cups). If you wanna be recruited, work hard:) but tbh I think you can get in even without fencing, since it is a division 3 school, academics come before anything.

ACT u definitely can get in. But again, people who got rejected as well has those grades. You’re ECs are good as well. Everyone who got accepted said “write your essays EXTREMELY well” you’ll definitely have a chance.

Just keep your grades up for this year and you should be good I’d say a 60-70% maybe even an 80%
