Chance me Lehigh ED 1 Legacy

UW Gpa (School doesn’t report): 3.4 (I had a rough junior year) 3.43 frosh, 3.62 soph, 3.14 junior. However if I get a 5 on English, APUSH or both the cum will go up to either a 3.44 or 3.49.
W GPA (reported): 4.11 could be 4.13-4.16-4.18 depending on AP test results.
ACT: 32
Old Sat: 1400 (CR+M) Lehigh doesn’t use writing but I got a 690 on that

So far ive taken 6 AP’s, rest honors and high honors, except for gym frosh and soph year. Next year 4 more APs, 1 honors, but two CP classes.

EC’s:
VP and Cofounder of Engineering Club
Ran XC since Sophmore year JV. I should get a varsity letter this coming season.
Ran winter track since freshman year, varsity Junior year. JV rest.
Ran outdoor track since freshman year, JV
I don’t want to give the name of this one as it might give away where I go to school but its a faith based community service organization. Racked up about 60 hours so far helping out in the church and in soup kitchens.
National Honors Society
Published narratives in schools literary magazine.
Play guitar a lot, probably will write common app essay about playing music.

I think you have a very good chance to be admitted. GPA is a little low, but you have good rigor and a good ACT score and a legacy bump.

Additionally, although Lehigh has many black, white, and brown students, it is my understanding that Blue Guy’s are under represented. lol

From what I understand, Lehigh does not consider GPA as much as other up there schools. You have good scores, i don’t know! let us know what happens

I think Lehigh looks at the classes the student chooses to take. I do not think they penalize a student for trying a course that was out of their area of interest or talent and was a struggle for them. My son took 5 years of Spanish. During the 5 years there were some As but the majority were Bs and a couple Cs. But of course he got all As in his math, science and physic classes - all needed skills for his engineering degree. The Lehigh admission counselors pride themselves in taking the time to read each application. I get the impression they want kids who aren’t afraid to take on a challenge.
