I don’t think they do likely letters for ED, but I had my interview last week.

Likely letters are meant to sway an applicant toward choosing a school by making them feel special and letting them know about the likelihood of admission before other schools. Since ED is binding, there’s no need for likely letters.
Actually my question was referencing midd_app26 post about there having been 750 ED applicants. I was wondering how one knows that number right now.
NESCAC schools are prohibited from sending out likely letters, whether for athletic recruits or non-athletes.
Some NESCAC schools (like Amherst) do ‘early writes’ in the RD round, which are early offers of admission (admission notification well before the March decision date). I am not aware of Middlebury doing early writes.
