<p>I'm a senior and I want some more opinions on my chances at these colleges before I finalize my list. Thanks!
Macalester (top choice, may apply ED1)
Carleton
Grinnell
St. Olaf
University of Wisconsin - Madison
University of Minnesota</p>

<p>-Unweighted GPA: 3.83</p>

<p>-Weighted GPA: 4.00</p>

<p>-2 APs, 4 honors, CIS Spanish through the University of Minnesota</p>

<p>-ACT: 31 (31 English, 32 Math, 28 Reading, 31 Science, 8 Writing)</p>

<p>-AP scores: World History (4), BC Calc (3 with AB sub-score 3), will take Physics in senior year</p>

<p>-ECs: -curling (the sport): 10 years, mostly outside of school, 5-6 hours a week
-helped form a curling club for my high school last year
- viola: 7 years, play in school as a class, also instructed outside of school. 4 hours a week
-SEC All-Conference Orchestra (11, 12) orchestra made up of orchestra students from around St. Paul area</p>

<p>-honors/awards: honor roll, honor ranked at my school (46/498)</p>

<p>-recs: one from of my english teachers and one from my calc or chemistry/physics teacher. probably will be good.
-essays: got an early start on them. i've worked hard on them so hopefully they'll be unique.</p>

<p>I would think good chance at first 3 and high match at the bottom 3. Good GPA, good rank, ok rigor, ACT in range for all the schools and some decent EC. Your top 3 are reasonably competitive schools, though, so you never know. I think you have a good list. Good luck</p>

<p>good luck! If you apply to Macalester, try to do an interview and submit a portfolio of some sort. Since it’s a LA school, you could add whatever you want to the portfolio pretty much (dance, film, writing, ect). Twin Cities may be a good fit too seeing as you already did CIS (which I assume is the same as PSEO). </p>

<p>I don’t have a lot of experience with this but I’m from the twin cities and know these schools so I’ll give my 2 cents.
It is almost certain you will get into the U of M and highly likely you could get into UW Madison and St. Olaf. Carleton is a possibility but I wouldn’t count on it. You have a good chance at Grinnell and Macalester (especially ED) but I can’t say for sure. Good luck!</p>
