Hi! My GPA is 94/100, school doesn't use 4.0 scale. I've taken 6 out of the 7 AP's my school offers (bio, literature, lang and comp, calc ab, ush). Outside of AP's I've taken various honors courses and general requirements. Member of school band since 5th grade, play first trumpet. Second in a class of 54. SAT: 770 math, 690 writing, 680 critical reading. My best ACT score was a 32. Have a 730 on USH SAT 2, hoping for a 700+ on literature and math 2 as well, scores arrive in about a week. I have been on the cross country, nordic skiing, and track and field teams every year since freshman year, and plan to continue nordic skiing in college (I can possibly compete on the Harvard and hopefully Colby teams, Dartmouth is too good for me). I volunteer at my local historical society and am a peer mentor, and a member of the varsity math team. I have worked at my family business for roughly 60 hours a week all summer every summer, wrote my essay about leaving the business to study computer science. It was good. My recommendations should be great, one is from my AP English teacher who went to Dartmouth, other from APCS teacher and nordic coach who skied at Harvard. Thanks!

By the way, I was accepted to Northeastern earlier this year.

Academically you are decent, your SAT isnt as good as it should be, but still within the averages. Your ECs are good though, and if you wrote an amazing essay and got great recs then you have a shot. Reach for harvard and dartmouth, but still within your realm of possibilities.

My thread (chance please): http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1610985-chances-for-vanderbilt-unc-nyu-uf-and-duke.html#latest

You are really no different than any of the other qualified applicants.

You will get into Colby for sure. Unlikely at any of the others.

Harvard is always a reach, no matter how good you are, unless you literally cure all cancer all the equivalent. But, the others shouldn’t be too far a goal. Good luck!

Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1613118-chances-for-brown-u-of-rochester-amherst-and-u-of-michigan-ann-arbor.html#latest

Harvard reach
Dartmouth low reach to reach
Tufts high match
Colby idk about this one

Would say that Tufts is a reach if you don’t throw yourself whole hog into your essays. Numbers aren’t enough.

Your bio & stats look just like all the other applicants for each of the schools you listed. Best of luck!
