Hi! These three schools are my top choices. I applied early to Northeastern because there was no writing supplement, and was accepted.
SAT: 2140, 770 math, 690 writing, 680 critical reading.
ACT: 32 is my best composite, 34 reading, 32 math, 33 english, and 29 science.
SAT IIs: 730 US History and will hopefully have around same score in Math 2 and Literature.
GPA: 93.95/100, school doesn't use 4.0 scale. I'm 2nd in a class of 54.
Course load: took 6/7 offered AP's at my school. I took APUSH, lang and composition, and computer science junior year, and calc ab, literature, and bio senior year. 4's on APUSH and lang, 3 on computer science (my intended major, score wasn't great because the teacher was gone for 2 months on maternity leave, had a substitute that didn't know how to program). I have also taken various honors classes.
EC's: Cross country, nordic skiing, and track and field every year, XC captain junior and senior year with some individual honors (all-conference, top 10 at states). Nordic captain this year, pretty much same honors as cross country. I am a peer mentor at my school, and volunteer at the local historical society. I work for my father's small business for roughly 59 hours a week in the summer. Also member of the varsity math team junior and senior year, team placed 3rd in our division at states last year. Member of German American Partnership Program freshman and sophomore year, hosted fundraisers for 2 years then went to Germany for 3 weeks. Was going to host a student, but she couldn't come because of health issues.
Essay was great! Have 2 Dartmouth specific recs, one from APCS teacher, other from lang and lit teacher (he went to Dartmouth). Some honors: NHS junior and senior year, honor roll every quarter through high school, random Dartmouth book award, DAR scholarship nominee from my school.

Bummmmmmmmmp!

Being in the top 4% and having good rec’s will help you. Your SAT and ACT exactly the same so send both.

Dartmouth is a low/med reach
Tufts is a high match
Colby is match

Good luck I can tell your a nice, well rounded young man/woman

Thank you!

By the way you might be able to be recruited to Colby if you really wanted to. They are D3, just email the coach. I am probably going to try to be recruited to Williams or Bowdoin which is the same conference as Colby. Who knows maybe we’ll compete against each other on the track.

Also, my dream school is Dartmouth too and academically I am about the same as you. So good luck and good night.

Good luck to you too! Same situation for me, Dartmouth is my top choice, but the location of Tufts is perfect as well as the possibility of continuing nordic at Colby.

buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuump
