chance me- much appreciated!

Am a little distraught in this mad dash to fill out mountains of applications and any weigh-ins on my chances at UW would relieve a great deal of current tension in my household. I am applying additionally, amongst other institutions, to Yale, West Point and Middlebury. However, UW just feels so right to me for some intangible reason and I would really rather go here than anywhere on the East. It's a bit of a stretch financially for all these application fees, so if my chances of UW honors are high enough I might scrap some of my Ivies to save wage and wit. Thanks much in advance!

GPA: 3.87 UW. I do running start full time, so my Junior year and current senior year have each been 16-18 credits per semester at WSU.

Only one AP test: APWorld for a 5, though I took it as a Soph. without taking a class for it. Not having more looks kinda lame, but I was hoping to explain it by the truth: I haven't taken any classes at my HS since 10th grade. I hope it'll fly!

read French and Portuguese fluently, though I can't speak or write them
German Intermediate- Can read Harry Potter and bellow and hold a conversation provided that the native speaker is kind.
also, I took a class on ancient Saxon, so I can stumble about in that, for what it's worth.

Thanks to whomever you are!

You’re in like safety in.

thank you both! Hearing others unbiased opinions really helps to allay some of my fears and worries.

Awesome stats and activities. I would say in.

The spelling bee stuff wouldn’t count for extra curricular activities; they ask for high school ones. However, if you incorporate that somehow in your personal statements, it’s totally doable.

Also, high five for knowledge bowl!

Yeah I would definitely say you’ve got a very very very good chance, especially with your SAT scores and NMS awards =) My only suggestion is to really look into the UW Honors program. I was thinking about applying to that myself but many of my friends who did it for their freshman year ended up dropping out because it was all extra busy work with no real purpose. Not saying you shouldn’t do it, but just make sure to get some opinions from students that are currently in the program. Best of luck!
