Chance me NCSU and UNC Chapel Hill in-state?

<p>Hi, I am only a Junior, but I would like to know my chances. Thanks!</p>

<p>Gender: Female</p>

<p>State: NC</p>

<p>GPA: 3.8 UW 4.5 W (Will go up by the end of this semester)</p>

<p>ACT: 29 (taking again in March, but I got a 34 in Math)</p>

<p>Class rank: Top 10%</p>

<p>Course load: By the time will graduate, I will have hopefully taken 20 honors classes and 6 AP classes (Out of the 9 offered), the school is relatively small, so you normally get the classes you sign up for</p>

<p>Extra Curricular activities: TONS! (Won't name them all), but they have a Choral/musical and math/science focus. This includes multiple competitions (Regional and state wide) where I have received honors and many school clubs/organizations. I also wrote harmonies for the praise band at my church, which shows leadership. I also ran Cross Country/Track and field.</p>

<p>Volunteer hours: I have a lot of volunteer hours including tutoring and feeding the homeless at my church.</p>

<p>How are my chances so far? How can I improve them?? I'm pretty sure I want to go into something STEM related but I'm not sure of what exactly. Possibly Engineering for NCSU. Thanks!</p>

<p>NCSU should be a match. I’m from NC too and I honestly don’t know of anyone getting rejected from there. Have you taken the SAT? Anyways, UNC’s ACT range is 27-33 so you have a decent score. I would try and get it up a couple of points though. I would go in a little more detail about your actual EC’s though everything seems kind of vague i.e “a lot of volunteer hours” “tons of ECs” </p>

<p>I think you have a great shot at both, less so at UNC though. if you could bump that ACT score to at least a 31 you have a really good chance.</p>
