Not sure if I’m leaving anything out. ND is my top school and I feel iffy about getting accepted, so I’m trying not to get my hopes up too high. Any thoughts at all would be appreciated:)

If your essays were great you stand a fighting chance. That being said, your test scores, while good, are somewhat average for ND. One thing I will note is that ND really looks for fit and for applicants who have done their homework about the school. You said you wanted to double major in neuroscience and linguistics. I’m pretty sure ND has neither a major, supplementary major, or minor in linguistics. If you mentioned this anywhere in your essays, it probably won’t help your cause. Also, you don’t mention your GPA.

Congratulations on a great academic resume and I hope it pays off for you. It puts you solidly in the mix, likely to be decided by your essays and recommendations.

Like ejcclc says, linguistics will have to be a minor unless they allow you to design a special major that incorporates the linguistics courses.

They told me I would be able to do both- I asked when I visited last summer, so that should be right unless I got incorrect information. GPA is 5.1 weighted.

ND only has Linguistics as a minor. What is your unweighted GPA? Also, how does your school typically fare with ND admissions? Does it use Naviance?
