As far as I can find, NU Bound students are accepted from the applicants for Northeastern. It is not clear what determines whether a student is accepted to NU Bound versus directly to NU. It is also not clear how many are accepted to NU Bound, though the number “1,000” is thrown about. There are a couple other programs as well. Based on the very rough numbers given, it would seem that the average chances of being admitted to NU OR one of these programs is in the 20%-30% range.
However, the problem is that your GPA will hurt you. The mid 50% GPA range for admitted students this year is 4.2-4.5 Weighted. I do not know what your weighted GPA is, but of it’s substantially lower than 4.2, it would be a challenge for you to be accepted.
I’m sorry about you missing school, but could you clarify why you in particular missed a month of school because of the school’s COVID policy?
In any case, if NU is you top choice school, and your parents can afford it if you are accepted, than go for it. However, make sure that you also have colleges to which your chances of admission are higher than those for NU.
