Chance me (Northwestern, Cornell, Emory) (:

PROLOGUE:

I graduated from high school with a 6.3 weighted gpa and many extracurriculars, but unfortunately my SAT/ACT weren't too incredibly high. My highest ACT was a 25; my highest SAT was 1650.

I was accepted into all the schools in Florida, but I wasn't given financial aid(FAFSA didn't go through). I even applied for ROTC scholarships for the Army and the Marine Corps; that route didn't work out either.

So there I was a senior in high school who was extremely motivated, but no place to go. I was in the delayed entry program for the Marine Corps and my ship date was less than two months away when I got a scholarship for the honors institute at a community college. So i decided to sign up the scholarship which covers all tuition and books.

I really would like to go to Northwestern out of all of these school, but wouldn't mind going to Cornell or Emory.

QUESTIONS:

What are my chances of getting in? Am I competitive?

Would they offer any financial aid/scholarships? Would I be given full financial aid?

I’m sorry but your scores are way too low for at least Cornell or Northwesterm

Your test scores are weighing you down, however everything else is superb.

gpa is great. sat/act score is too low, try taking it again.

they generally accept very few transfers, not sure if they provide fin aid.

Everything is good except your test scores. Try and bring it up to at least a 30! (Colleges cut first gen and poor students some slack on test scores).
