CHANCE ME - NYU CAS??

Hi, thinking of applying to NYU CAS regular decision, going to be a senior in a few days

Not applying for financial aid, so I’m scared if they’re going to throw me to LSP like they did to my friend

Stats:
2250 SAT (700R/760M/790W)
3.6 uw GPA/3.8 w GPA
750 SAT 2 (Bio E)
****planning to take SAT one more time and also SAT 2s (Chinese, Math 2, and Bio M)
APs: World history (4) American History (4) Physics 1 (3) Biology (4) Lang (5)

Really bad ECs:
art club 9-12 secretary/treasurer
swim 10-12
scattered volunteer hours that total to almost 70 (so bad I know, trying my best to join as many clubs as possible senior year)

will do in senior year (not sure if it even matters that much)
key club
animal welfare club
yearbook club
habitat for humanity
volunteering at animal shelter

Your SAT is fantastic, and if you get it up even more it will help your admissions tremendously. I don’t want to discourage you from doing all those extracurriculars because if you’re interested in all of them that’s great…but if you’re not really passionate about them they will see through it very quickly, esp because the majority of them are only done senior year. Try to boost your GPA a bit before applications are due and you should be fine
