THANKs so much

You’re GPA will hold you back with the Ivies. I was told that Stanford is unlikely unless you are valedictorian or salutatorian, Olympic-bound athlete, or so noteworthy that you appear in the press. Of course there are exceptions but if you are out of the top 10% it may not be worth its. Take the free ride at ASU or go to Michigan in-state.

“UCLA/UCB (might not apply because low aid for OOS, and they are just as good as Umich)”

Your reason to not apply to these two makes a lot of sense to me. From what I have heard NYU is also likely to be expensive, although I don’t know much about it other than by reputation. From the information that Stanford sends to alumni it sounds like legacy doesn’t actually help much there. Most of your RD list looks reachy to me. I would probably skip most of them.

Your EA list makes a lot of sense to me. While Michigan might be a bit of a reach with an unweighted 3.5, you are in-state and to me it certainly is worth applying.

Congratulations on already being accepted to some very good schools!

“Take the free ride at ASU or go to Michigan in-state.”

This also makes a lot of sense to me.

@DadTwoGirls In regards to NYU, I’ve heard the give a decent amount of scholarships and financial aid

@redwingz123, NYU is notoriously stingy with financial aid.

i guess someone gave me false info, what about merit scholarships?
@suzy100

Also I played football this year(kicker), and my counselor said I can contact the recruiting offic and admissions office and have them flag my application. Does this help admission at all??
