Chance me! Out of State Transfer

Hey everyone! I'm currently a sophomore at Texas A&M in College Station. I love South Carolina and feel like my heart is there so hoping to get into Clemson in the Fall! I currently have 37 hours ( will have 49 after this spring semester) currently have a 3.1 GPA. ( not the best I know) But what do my chances look like as a transfer? I'm applying for Art. I'm also a member of Delta Zeta and some volunteer groups here at A&M.

Thank you!

I got into the art program without submitting a portfolio or anything. It’s not nearly as competitive as some of the other majors. Good luck!

Lindy- if you don’t mind me asking, what was your gpa?

At the time I applied, my high school GPA was around 3.5 unweighted.

I don’t think art is a competitive program so you should have a good shot. Clemson likes transfer applicants to have a 3.0 GPA and you’ve definitely got it and at a great school such as Texas A&M.Good luck!

Pierre- thanks! Most of those hours are from a community college here, but I’m hoping as they see that I’m currently in the College of Architecture here at A&M it’ll up my chances a little more! Let’s say my GPA was a 2.9 (it isn’t just making hypothetical situations) would I still have a good chance?

a 2.5 GPA is the minimum so a 2.9 might be good as well? - it probably just depends on the other people who are applying as transfer students to be honest.
