chance me - physics major

<p>I'm planning on majoring in physics. I'm looking for a harsh/realistic chance. </p>

<p>SAT1: 2230 - 770M/720CR/740W
SAT2: taking after summer; expecting 750+ in math 2 and ush</p>

<p>uw GPA: 3.6 (yikes)
w GPA: sorry i forgot to check and zangle is down right now</p>

<p>EC/awards: editor for school newspaper ~ 3 years
Tennis 4 years ~ varsity 2 years
Badminton league at local community center (pretty much since middleschool)
2nd place opinion story from Best of Highschool Journalism
Anti-bullying society (officer)
Linguistics club (officer)
Mu Alpha Theta (2 years)
Math Club (4 years)
regular volunteer for Highschool Heroes (you teach at an elementary school classroom for a day)
Student mentoring program
national merit commended (hopefully semifinalist with 222)</p>

<p>I know my gpa is loww.. but will my sat balance out my resume? thanks</p>

<p>You have a pretty good shot. I would however suggest you take SAT II Physics - since that is your major (instead of USH)… even though SAT IIs are no longer necessary, it would look better to have a Math II + Physics combo than a Math II + USH combo when your major is Physics…</p>

<p>I would suggest having at least 150 hours of Volunteer work, and like I usually say: be sure to chose the ECs that make you stand out :)</p>
