Chance me, please? applying RD...going crazy waiting

<p>Do you think I’ll get into brown 2013?</p>

<p>general:
i’m a white girl in michigan
huge public school with a pretty good reputation</p>

<p>gpa:
3.8 or so unweighted
really hard classes throughout HS</p>

<p>tests:
SAT I: 2350-- 800 reading, 750 math, 800 writing -took once
SAT II: i forget, took 3 (spanish, chem, Us history)…all in 700’s (710, 730, 790 i think)</p>

<p>classes:
took 4 aps junior year (chem, US hist, spanish, eng. lang.) got 3, 3, 4, 5 (not great, i know)
taking 3 aps now (physics, bio, calc AB) plus humanities (survey course re: w. culture, kinda hard)
took 3rd year college spanish at U-M last semester, got an A-</p>

<p>ECs, etc:
a ton in theater plus sev. statewide awards in theater, leadership positions here
teaching hebrew to little kids as a job
volunteer at VA, patient care plus designing operating rooms (design to be published)
plus Nat’l honor soc., spanish honor soc., key club, etc.</p>

<p>Essays:
one really good one about challenging time, how i overcame…
why brown one not bad
other one about teaching hebrew to a learning disabled kid</p>

<p>Other:
aunt, uncle, cousin went to brown…does that count for anything?
not sure re. major but i like comp. lit.</p>

of course thats obviously not an in at a school as competitive as brown
but with that in mind, your rigorous course load, and your solid EC’s you have a chance.</p>

<p>this type of thing is of course unpredictable, and I’m just a junior, but an obsessive brown hopeful! but keep your fingers crossed you absolutely have a chance :)</p>

<p>hello you have effin family that went there. u so so much better off than alot of people such as myself. you have a good chance of course but with a school like brown you never know. your essays should show you have passion for the school and of course there was your interview</p>
