Okay. I'm not really a star student with a thousand ec's etc. I slacked off a lot through high school, stupidly. I'm now a junior, and am just curious of your guy's opinions. Here goes:

I go to a rigorous highschool.
GPA: 3.83 (W).
Rank: 89 out of around 320
SATS: not taken yet.

Courses-
Freshman year: 4 Honors.
Soph: 4 Honors.
Junior: 1 Honors + AP US History II.

ECs:
-6 years of guitar playing, music is my passion.
-Photography. (possibly entering contests soon)
-Stock Investment Club
-French Club
-In a band that recorded originals/played 20+ shows including charity events.
-Play guitar at a nursing home once a week (volunteer).

Schools of interest:
NYU, Oberlin, Vassar, Berklee College of Music, Wesleyan.. liberal arts.

I know, I'm a fail. But whatever.
Any responses regarding advice, best colleges I might be able to get in to, chances would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Hmm lets see your rank puts you just outside the top quarter. Its very hard to chance you for these schools because you have no SAT scores which are gonna be the make or break for you. Work on studying for those, and scoring above 2100 and i think all of these maybe with the exception of Vassar are very possible.

^^^
Wes and Vassar are about the same selectivity, and the fact that he’s male will probably help at Vassar more than Wes.

Anyway, your ECs are fine/good. You class rank is a little low, esp. for Wes and Vassar. How rigorous was your course-load in comparison to your classmates (ie. is it as rigorous as it could be)? That will make a difference. It is also hard to chance you for sure without your SATs. But none of these schools seem ridiculously out of reach for the stats you have, but I think at least Wes and Vassar will be reaches.
