Chance me please, for Carnegie Mellon CIT

<p>Hey guys so I would like to know what my chances are at getting into CIT of CMU by ED.
My Stats are
SAT: 710 R, 760 W, 760 M = 2230 overall
PSAT: 204 national merit (useless?)
3.7 approx GPA unweighted (Stuyvesant H.S)
Ap Psych: 5
Ap Stat: 5
Ap Calc
Ap Bio
our school limits our amonut of AP's we can take. ;[
SAT 2: Bio 730, Physics 740, retaking Math 2c
Upward trend GPA, 85 in freshmen, 95 in junior year</p>

<p>EC:
Varsity Sports team since sophomore year.
NYC metropolitan Math Fair
400 + volunteer hours
Worked as Chinese teacher
Worked as teacher's assistant for 3 summer. (dedication?)
Have a paying teaching job.</p>

<p>Bilingual (chinese, eng)
First gen college student.</p>

<p>Your SAT is good. What is your AP calculus score?What is your class rank? You are saying Stuyvesant limits AP? I think it will be a reach if there are lot of your classmates applying there as well with better ranks and higher score. A solid Math 2 score is a must. Also not sure how much CMU values ec, but I dont see a lot of engineering/science related EC.</p>

<p>You’re kind of borderline, CMU doesn’t count freshman year so your GPA will be very strong. Your SAT is also pretty good so that’s not an issue. The only issue is your ECs are not particularly strong. They seem like you just did it because that was what’s available. I think good essays and recs are a must if you want to get in.</p>

<p>I’m still taking calc this year so i won’t know it yet. but there about 20 kids ed-ing there this year</p>
